The composer is the first thing on the page. There is no sign-up screen in front of it.

Pick how long the drop lasts, add a password, or switch on Burn after read. All of it is optional, and all of it is free.

Press Create drop. You get a short code and a link.

Send it however you like. Whoever opens it downloads without signing in.
No account means no account
Not a shorter sign-up form, and not an account created quietly behind the scenes. You are never asked for an email address, a phone number or a password of your own, and no user record exists for you anywhere. The server knows that a drop exists and when it expires. It does not know who made it.
That also means there is no password of yours to leak in a breach, no address to market to, and no history of what you have sent building up against your name.
What you give up without an account
It is a real trade-off, so here it is plainly:
- Your recent drops are remembered in this browser only. On another device, you will not see them.
- If you lose both the link and the code, nobody can look the drop up for you — there is no account to look it up in.
- There are no delivery notifications. You will not be told when someone opens a drop.
Why most services ask you to log in
An account lets a service lift a limit, track a delivery or send you email later. Here every feature is on for everyone, the limit is 25 MB per file for everyone, and there is no email to send — so there is nothing an account would unlock.

Can I really send files without an account?
Yes. Open the page, add a file, press Create drop. At no point are you asked for an email address, a phone number or a password.
Does the person receiving need to log in?
No. They open the link, or type the short code on the home page, and download. If you set a password on the drop, they are asked for that and nothing else.
How do I delete a drop without an account?
Open the drop and delete it from its own page. Anyone holding the link can manage the drop, which is also the reason to share the link only with the people you mean it for.
