Step by step
How to transfer files from Android to PC
- 01
Open Just Save It on the phone
In Chrome, Samsung Internet or any other Android browser, go to justsaveit.online. There is nothing to download from the Play Store.
- 02
Pick the files
Tap Browse files. Android opens its own picker, so you can choose from Photos, Gallery, Downloads or any folder in Files — several at once if you like.
- 03
Create the drop
Press Create drop. The files upload, and you get back a short code, a link and a QR code.
- 04
Open it on the PC
On the computer, go to justsaveit.online and type the code under “Have a code already?” — or open the link if you sent it to yourself. Download, and you are done.
Why not just use a USB cable?
A cable still works, and for a whole camera roll it is the right answer. For a handful of files it is a lot of ceremony: find a cable that carries data rather than only charge, unlock the phone, switch it from “Charging only” to “File transfer”, then dig through the DCIM folder in File Explorer. If Windows does not recognise the phone, you are into drivers.
A browser transfer skips all of that. The trade-off is size — 25 MB per file and 100 MB per transfer — so it suits photos, screenshots, PDFs and documents rather than a year of video.
Why not WhatsApp, or emailing it to yourself?
Both work, and both have a cost. WhatsApp compresses photos unless you send them as documents, so what lands on the PC is not quite what left the phone. Email attachments usually stop at 20–25 MB, and every file you send yourself stays in two mailboxes indefinitely.
Here the file arrives as the original bytes — nothing is resized or recompressed — and the drop deletes itself when it expires.
What fits in one transfer
- Photos: a typical phone photo is a few megabytes, so a batch fits comfortably — up to 25 files and 100 MB in one drop.
- Screenshots, PDFs, Word and Excel files, APKs and ZIP archives: any file type, up to 25 MB each.
- Video: short clips only. Phone video runs to tens of megabytes a minute, so anything more than a few seconds long is likely to be over 25 MB.
- Text: paste a note, a link or a wifi password into the Add text tab, and read it on the PC as selectable text.
The fastest way to transfer files from Android to PC
For a few files, the fastest route is the one with the fewest steps, and there is no pairing or setup here to repeat next time. The code has no look-alike characters — no 0 and O, no 1 and l — so it types quickly and correctly on the PC.
If you move files between the same phone and the same PC every day, Google’s Quick Share app for Windows may suit you better: it is built for exactly that, once it is installed on the PC. Just Save It is for when you would rather skip the install, or the PC is not yours to install things on.
FAQ
Android to PC — common questions
How do I transfer files from Android to PC without USB?
Use a browser transfer. Open Just Save It on the phone, pick the files and press Create drop, then type the short code on the PC or open the link. The files download in the PC’s browser — no cable, no Bluetooth pairing and no app.
Do the phone and the PC need to be on the same wifi?
No. The files go through the server rather than directly between the devices, so the phone can be on mobile data and the PC on a different network entirely. It also means the PC can open the drop hours later, as long as it has not expired.
Will my photos lose quality?
No. Files are stored and downloaded exactly as they were uploaded. Nothing is resized, recompressed or stripped.
Do I need to install anything on Windows?
No. The PC only needs a current web browser — Edge, Chrome, Firefox or any other. Nothing is installed and no account is created.
How big a file can I send from Android?
Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per drop and 25 files at a time. A file over the limit is rejected on the phone before any upload starts, so you never wait for an upload that was going to fail.
