Step by step
How to transfer files from phone to laptop
- 01
Open the page on your phone
Go to justsaveit.online in the phone’s browser — Android or iPhone, it makes no difference.
- 02
Add files or text
Tap Browse files and pick what you need. To move a link, an address or a note instead, switch to Add text and paste it.
- 03
Create the drop
Press Create drop and keep the short code on screen.
- 04
Open it on the laptop
On the laptop, go to justsaveit.online and type the code — or open the link, if you sent it to yourself in a chat.
One method for every phone and every laptop
The phone and the laptop never talk to each other directly, so it does not matter what either of them runs:
- Android to a Windows laptop, a MacBook or a Chromebook.
- iPhone to a Windows laptop, a MacBook or a Chromebook.
- Either of them to a Linux machine, or to a computer you are only borrowing.
Where both devices are yours and from the same family, the built-in tool is quicker: AirDrop between an iPhone and a Mac on the same Apple ID, or Quick Share between Android and a Windows PC that has it installed. Everything else — and every borrowed, shared or work laptop — is where a browser transfer earns its place.
Phone to laptop without a cable
Cables are where this usually goes wrong: the one in the drawer only charges, the laptop has only USB-C, or a work laptop blocks USB storage by policy. A web page needs none of that — just a browser on each end and a connection for each.
Not just files
Half the things people move from a phone to a laptop are not files at all: a long URL, a delivery address, a paragraph of notes, a code from a message. Paste it into the Add text tab and it arrives on the laptop as selectable text, ready to paste — no emailing yourself, and no retyping from a screenshot.
FAQ
Phone to laptop — common questions
What is the easiest way to transfer files from phone to laptop?
Open justsaveit.online on the phone, pick the files and press Create drop, then type the short code on the laptop. It is the same four steps for Android and iPhone, and for Windows, Mac and Chromebook.
Does the laptop need an app?
No. The laptop downloads the files in its web browser. Nothing is installed on it and nothing is signed in.
Can I transfer from phone to laptop without internet?
No. The files travel through the server, so both devices need a connection — mobile data is fine for the phone. For a transfer with no internet at all, use a cable, or a local-network app such as LocalSend installed on both devices.
How many files can I send at once?
Up to 25 files in one drop, 25 MB each and 100 MB in total.
