Send files without email — share a link instead

Email is a poor way to move a file: attachment limits, spam folders, and a copy that lives in two inboxes indefinitely. Put the file behind a link and send the link wherever you are already talking.

What goes wrong with email attachments

  • Size: most providers stop attachments at around 20–25 MB, and larger files get quietly turned into cloud links anyway.
  • Delivery: the message can land in spam, or bounce, and you find out a day later.
  • Permanence: every attachment lives on in the sender’s and the recipient’s mailboxes indefinitely.
  • Addresses: you need theirs, and a typo sends the file to a stranger.

A link goes wherever the conversation already is

You are probably already talking to the person somewhere. Paste the link there. The link is a few dozen characters, so no chat app will refuse it, and because the chat only carries the link, it cannot compress the photo or video behind it — the file downloads from here at its original quality.

When email is still the right choice

When you need a formal record that a document was sent, or the recipient’s organisation only accepts files by email, send an email. For everything else, a link is quicker and leaves less behind.

FAQ

Send without email — common questions

How do I send a file without email?

Upload it to Just Save It, press Create drop, and paste the link into any chat or message. The recipient opens the link and downloads — no email address involved on either side.

Is sending a link as safe as an email attachment?

It is comparable. Anyone with the link can open the drop, just as anyone who is forwarded an email can open its attachment. For more control, add a password and send it through a different channel, and set a short expiry.

Can I send a file to someone without knowing their email?

Yes. You never enter a recipient at all — you decide who gets the link by where you paste it.

Will WhatsApp compress a file I send as a link?

No. WhatsApp only sees the link. The file itself downloads from Just Save It at its original size and quality.
